The Prevention and Protection Department complies with Italian Legislative Decree no. 81 of 9th April 2008 regarding occupational health and safety.

Prevention and protection macro activities include:

		Assessment of all risks associated with corporate processes, products and organisation.
		Development and implementation of prevention and protection measures to eliminate and/or reduce risks at source.
		Development of health and safety improvement plans.
		Preparation of safety procedures for corporate operations.
		Use of machinery, plants, equipment and materials developed using the latest technology in terms of ergonomics and safety.
		Personnel training and their involvement in spreading safety culture at a company-wide level.

As part of the company’s prevention and occupational health and safety policy, Streparava has put in place procedures to monitor cases of medication or near-miss accident.

For the purposes of a safety policy based on transparency and awareness, Streparava informs customers, suppliers, employees, mass media and the other stakeholders of the number of accidents, accident-free days, level of accident severity and other safety-related details, which are displayed on a computer screen at the entrance to the company.
